Join Grant Cottage Operations Manager Ben Kemp as we discuss Ulysses S. Grant and his relationship to the Native Americans. This moderated discussion group is open to the public and all are encouraged to bring their own personal research and share their insights into Grant’s relationship with Native Americans and his efforts on their behalf. We'll explore Grant's part in the long and tragic story of the Native Americans. We'll take a look at what he did to try and reshape the attitude towards and treatment of the Native Peoples. Information will also be available on becoming a member and/or volunteer with the Friends of US Grant Cottage, the organization that operates the local State Historic Site atop Mt. McGregor in Wilton, NY. Contact ben@grantcottage.org or 518-538-8330 to register. Meeting will take place in the Susman Room at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. (Do not contact the Saratoga Springs Library directly about this event.)
