*This is an OFF-SITE program being held in the Gideon Putnam Room at the State Park Administration Building*
Saratoga County Historian, Lauren Roberts, will give a sneak preview of the historic event Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Saratoga in 2027. Local events begin in 2025.
The overlook at Grant Cottage gives a panoramic view of the grounds of the Revolutionary War, including an interpretive panel. Ulysses Grant often enjoyed the view from the overlook which now has a memorial in his honor. No doubt President Grant knew this very spot changed the course of America.
Access to the overlook, site grounds and walking trails, interpretive panels, audio app grounds tour, and visitor center with exhibits and a gift shop are FREE to the public anytime the site is open.
This program will be followed by The Friends of the Ulysses S. Grant Cottage Annual Meeting. Announcements include plans for 2025, The Lorraine Westcott Award, pavilion and site development progress, 2025 programs, and more.
* light refreshments will be available *
